A disc got stocked so the tray hade to be taken out and reinserted after the manual instructions. No when the set is turned on the tray come out with display message"take out disc" With the tray out the tuner and deck can be used. When I press close, the tray goes in with display message "close",if a disc is present it dont rotate and the set are blocked. The switches SW1 and SW2 are now closed with tray in(that is OK). To make the set work again the mains cable has to be taken out for some seconds. So I am now loking for help to find a defective component that causes this error.

I have the manual, and followed the instructions to install the tray. But there are no timingmanual for the other parts of mechanism.Maybe there are a manual for the CD-mechanism RAE01502 that are installed in several stereos, but where can I find it? I cant enter repairworld, they want money.

Hi everyone: This Panasonic mini stereo system, model # SA-AK17 has a 5 disk cd player, this is the second time the mechanism has jammed with the cd's stuck inside. Is this a common problem, and why does it keeps jamming, is there a bulletin out on a cure for this problem from the manufacturer? Thanks for any help. Terry Posted by: tcran293 May 18 2001, 09:51 AM

No I do not have the manual, I did however fix it once about 6 months ago, even though it took me half a day. Yes the Cd's are stacked with the spacers between them. I believe your theory about the customers pushing the tray in manually instead of using the load button. Thanks

Believe you are quoting CD Player (RAE01502) What you need is the "Technical Guide 5-Disc CD Changer CR20 Mechanism Operation Description and Disassembly and Reassembly Procedures" manual. Order No. AD9904096T0
