Hello,
Some notebook PCs are preinstalled Norton antivirus. It is not visible in add/remove programmes. only live update and live reg are visible. In this case if I want to install new antivirus,the new programme says to remove old antivirus before installing new one. How to uninstall the old norton antivirus?

Hi TAMMU..have you tried other utilities like TuneUP utilities 2008? I've try this utility software and it works on removing installed programs..you can download it in www.btjunkie.com (http://www.btjunkie.com) or at www.softnetarchive.net (http://www.softnetarchive.net). be sure to scan first for possible virus or view first the comments from others who downloaded it first. hope this helps  |

try..
install other version of Norton..(newer)(disconnect internet)
then Uninstall....
Restart..
then install Kaspersky..
|

I want to install Kaspersky Internet Security but unable to install as it makes conflict with norton. I will try to install new Norton and see if its working.Thanks

try..
install other version of Norton..(newer)(disconnect internet)

Restart..
then install Kaspersky..
do not update the new Norton...then, uninstall..to remove... |

Worked well for me when I wanted to remove Norton AV 2007.
